Cabbage soup with spicy sausage

  • Ingredients for 4 portions:
  • 1 big onion
  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons of ground mild paprika spice
  • 1 teaspoons of cummin
  • 1,5 liters of water
  • 700 g of pickled cabbage
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 350 g of smoked sausage
  • 3 dl of creme fraiche

Chop onions into small pieces and fry on oil. Add pickled cabbage and fry together for about 1 minute, pour over with water and cook. Add ground paprika spice, black pepper, bay leaves and pressed garlic. Mix together, add the chopped sausage and cook for about 40-50 minutes. Add salt according to taste. At the end you can add the whipped creme fraiche.
